The PhD work of Pauline Hahn rewarded

29 April 2024

Congratulations Pauline Hahn for this great recognition!

Pauline Hahn is awarded the Best communication Award – bronze medal from the ESAFORM Association.

Well done to Pauline Han, a 2nd year PhD student in the MSR team. It is always nice to receive a prize in recognition of work, and it is even more special for Pauline who was presenting an oral paper at a conference for the first time. Congratulations!

Pauline tool part in the 27th international ESAFORM conference held in Toulouse on April 24-26, 2024. She presented her research on “characterization and modelling of grain growth in Zr-Nb alloys” The jury selected three winners, with Pauline receiving the bronze medal.

Pauline is supervised by Marc Bernacki, Baptiste Flipon and Madeleine Bignon as part of an industrial project with Framatome. Her work focuses on the metallurgical evolution of Zr-Nb alloys during the hot forming and heat treatment processes.

*ESAFORM, the European Scientific Association for material FORMing, awards this prize for papers and presentations by young researchers, in order to promote their activities and recognition at international level.
